6th November 2010 - All preparations ready for Indian pilgrims

All preparations are in place for Indian pilgrims coming on Haj this year in terms of meals, medical facilities and accommodation, according to B.S Mubarak, the Indian Hajj Consul on Friday.
He said Indian pilgrims will be served three meals a day in Mina and Arafat, consisting of bread, juice and fruit.
Mubarak told Saudi Gazette that this year the Indian Consulate has also started a new 24-hour helpline service on the numbers 02-5496000 and 02-5458000 at the Indian Hajj Mission in Makkah to assists pilgrims.
“This is the first time that such services have been provided for Indian pilgrims,” he said.

6th November 2010 - 600 female guides and translators to serve the visitors at the Prophet's Mosque
Madinah, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 29, 1431H, Nov 06, 2010, SPA -- The Women's Section at Guidance Department of the Agency of Presidency of The Holy Mosque of The Prophet in Madinah has prepared 600 female guides and translators to serve the visitors of the Prophet's Mosque round-the-clock.
The Section's Director Barakah Al-Talhi disclosed that the Department has prepared a plan to receive female visitors during Hajj season and to provide them will all services and facilities.

6th November 2010 - Governor of Makkah Province briefed on Jeddah Islamic Port's Services For Pilgrims

Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Province and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee has been briefed on preparations and services as regards reception of Pilgrims who arrive at the Jeddah Islamic Port for performing Hajj.
On his arrival at the Port, the Governor of Makkah Province was greeted by Prince Misha'al bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah Governorate; Minister of Hajj Dr. Fouad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsi; Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ports, Dr. Jubarah bin Eid Al-Suraysiri and a number of senior officials.

6th November 2010 - Sacrificial meat coupons for Hajj available online
The Saudi Project for the Utilization of Hajj Meat, managed by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), has launched an online payment service to make the purchasing of 'Adahi' Hajj Sacrificial Meat Coupons more convenient during the pilgrimage season.
The Coupons are being sold for SR410 and can be purchased through the online Sadad payment system, telephone banking or at an ATM. The main objectives of the project, currently in its 26th year, include the distribution of the Hajj Sacrificial meat for the needy in Makkah and around the world.
The offal is sold as a means of bringing in revenue that is also distributed amongst the needy in Makkah.
As part of efforts to maximize the value of each sacrificial sheep, the project has recently financed its first factory for gelatin, obtained from the skin and bones of animals. The factory is under the management of a Chinese company and located in the Moassim Mina area, according to a report published today by Arab News.
